The Half Shell is an historic buy boat run by Living Classrooms in Washington, DC.

We anchor at the DC Waterfront and run daily trips on the Potomac and Anacostia rivers.

Crew - Captain Andrew Captain Andrew drives the boat and plots our course throughout the day. The Captain is in charge of everything from boat maintenance to when and where we go fishing.  He teaches navigation on board and hosts a vast wealth of knowledge about the rivers and the surrounding area. If you’ve got a question that has to do with the nautical side of Washington DC, Captain Andrew is your man!

Starting a little late in the season, but with a new staff and a newly renovated boat, we’ve gotten off to a great start.  We’ve moved the blog from blogger over here to tumblr to make it easier to post every day.
